SUNDANCE
THE SS18 collection takes its inspiration from the shapes and colors of American artist duo – Adam Frezza and Terri Chiao, whose works explore play and craft across a range of media.A collection characterized by the use of lightweight fabrics with color combinations and ruffle details to envoy a playful, fresh and youthful feel that can take you from day to night – a staple characteristic of the Mira Hayek brand. The overall feeling of the collection is warm, earthy, light – perfect for a summer breeze.

The FW1718 collection tributes to the boundary-breaking French street artist Koralie.12:01 – a collection of twenty-two looks enthused by Koralie’s signature character; the flamboyant geisha and the architectural landscapes. Koralie infuses aesthetic elements taken from different cultures onto her street art, the cross path with Mira Hayek’s FW1718 wherein she mixes pieces such as the Kimono, the Poncho and the Abaya in a contemporary sportswear collection.

LA FEMME BONBON
‘A morning dawned bright and sweet, like ribbon candy. Rounded, soft volumes coupled with vivid colors sweep you to your imaginary playground’ a roundup of the SS17 collection: LA FEMME BONBON. The SS17 collection is youthful and energetic. It comprises of contemporary and graphic looks with a color palette ranging from sweet pastel tones to bright fruity hues. Curvy silhouettes, psychedelic confetti and dripping ruffles create the ideal collection for the playful woman who enjoys adventurous escapades in her gourmet candy house.

KAMI DOLL
Kami meaning Paper in Japanese – is inspired by Japanese Paper Dolls. Mira has been collecting wooden Japanese Dolls for years. But for this collection, she was more interested in Origami because of the many graphic forms you can find in the paper figurines.
The KAMIDOLL collection excels in its voluminous silhouettes and its sharp geometric cuts. In reference to the paper dolls, the collection embraces significant playful folds, linear stitch details in contrasting colors and 3-Dimensional pleats.

XO / TIME TO PLAY
The collection pays homage to a photo ‘Untitled Nude’ by one of the most prolific and important photographers of the twentieth century – John Rawlings. XO – TIME TO PLAY – a collection of twenty-three looks stimulated by the photo of a woman lying gently on the floor wearing a polka dot towel on her head and the shadow of a wooden screen is creating a wavy crisscross pattern on her bare back. Rowling’s technique of experimenting with light, using a combination of reflective materials with natural and artificial light creating the XO shapes on the woman’s back is what inspired the collection and its playful name.

CUSHY
CUSHY is inspired by the work of Spanish artist Paco Coment, who creates surreal paintings using splashes of color onto monochrome landscapes. Voluminous silhouettes are paired with geometric lines in order to create sporty pieces with a quirky edge.

MILKY WAY
MILKYWAY is inspired by the work of contemporary artist Jeff Depner. His paintings are structured, graphic and made of many colorful layers.
The collection is fresh and filled with pieces that are loose and airy. A monochromatic color palette is combined with bold colors and silver in laser cut circles and graphic shapes to create playful contrasts and a fun ‘space-y’ mood.

ELEVATED is inspired by the fantastical Flying Houses by Laurent Chehere.
The choices of quilted fabrics, moody grays, and texture and color blocks are all influenced by these magical photo and digital manipulations to create unique and dreamy pieces.

VAGABOND
VAGABOND celebrates the urban caprice girl with a true love to venture beyond her own city into unknown horizons.
Exclusive MIRAHAYEK prints are re-introduced this season.
Mixing of the wall print and solid colors revert back to the work of Craig Costello, who transforms plain facades into vibrant works of art using dripping of colorful ink.

…a collection inspired by the muddle of having to go out yet wanting to enjoy the comfort of your own home. Yawn serves the modern day women that no longer save some outfits for heels and an off-duty wardrobe for flats. The separates, easy dresses and covetable pieces that structure Mira’s collection are as lustful as they are practical for a busy lifestyle.

SQUAD
The SQUAD collection is inspired by vintage cheerleader outfits.
The idea was to create a complete collection for the 70’s cheerleader if she were brought to live in our modern times.
A squad is a small group of people engaged in a common activity: a unit, a team. The women wearing SQUAD pieces will inevitably form a team sharing the same qualities that describe not only the collection, but also their personalities: positive, young at heart and laid-back.

UN ÉLÉPHANT QUI SE BALAAANÇAIT
The inspiration started flowing after watching The Darjeeling Limited, a moving comedy about three brothers reconnecting through a spiritual journey across India. This collection is designed for a close circle of young women, be it sisters or best friends, on their own adventure during this summer.
The collection consists of one of a kind pieces; a playful assemblage of airy fabrics and refreshing colors. The geometric cuts and hand-sewn patterns are inspired by Rangoli (row of colors), a traditional Indian art drawn on special occasions. It is the creation of geometric patterns combining colorful images and motifs in order to bring peace and harmony.

A NAMORADA
A Namorada, Portuguese for “The Girlfriend” is inspired by the enchanting characters of Brazilian graffiti artists Os Gemeos, Portuguese for “The Twins”.
The collection consists of one of a kind pieces; chic urban wear with bold graphic cuts and geometric hand sewn patterns.
A small line of necklaces complements the garments; they are unique combination of beading and colored cordons.
